The basic principle of the standard is continuous improvement, just like in the case of automotive quality management (according to ISO/TS 16949), occupational health and safety management (according to OHSAS 18001, VCA) and environmental management (according to ISO 14001 and EMAS) systems, so its approach is closely linked to them.
